We have not yet begun to fight
Kevin Downey makes an insupportable assertion.
Yeah, we better hope not—as my title suggests, despite having plenty of shots fired at us (quite literally), we have yet to fire back, other than with bluster and empty threats. Which indicates that odds are, the outcome of this putative "final battle" is a foregone conclusion, and that it ain’t gonna go our way. Kev is right enough on the other particulars, however.
Welcome to the Stalin States of Amerika. Come for the gnat salad, stay for the tyranny. Liberty is SO last century.
Tuesday marked a low point in American history. The political party formerly known as the Democrats went full Maoist and arrested the man who not only served as the greatest president since Reagan, but shined a light on the glop of humanity living in the outhouse called Washington, D.C.
Joe Biden is a small, grotesque man. He showered with his young daughter Ashley. He “allegedly” sexually assaulted Tara Reade. He sent his crackhead son to play global bagman and hoover mad stacks from anyone willing to throw a few bucks his way for a favor. The Biden family sold out our country—not to the highest bidder, but to all of them.
Under Trump, we prospered; we were safe and we were happy. But communism can’t spread when We the People are smiling, so Biden pulled the Bat-chute and brought it all to a screeching halt.
Joe Biden ran up a $52 million tab with China. And when Xi Jinping tells Joe to jump? Mark my words: Joe Biden doesn’t make decisions; he waits for orders from his Chinese daddy.
Not too long ago, China ordered Joe to allow a spy balloon to cruise over our nation. Biden knows where his eggrolls are buttered and obeyed like the obsequient lickspittle he is.
I have a sneaking suspicion that Beijing told Joe Biden and his band of bolshies to do what it takes to remove Trump from the 2024 election. Who has more to lose than China? And today’s spectacle in New York City is just the beginning. There are three more bogus investigations to come.
The toilet people on the left will gladly sacrifice their 401(k)s—and their children’s future—to enjoy their tragic little giggle-fest as they watched MSNBC celebrate the first-ever arrest of not only a former president but one who sacrificed his personal fortune to lead his country to the front of the pack.
Trump committed no felonies that any legitimate legal pundit can find, but small men enjoy small victories.
Is this the end? Not a chance.
Agreed, it definitely is not. There are still many more affronts to liberty, decency, and human dignity left to be deployed in the bag o’ tricks of the organized-crime syndicate masquerading as a political party (ie, the D卐M☭CRATs). And from the looks of it, they’ll be able to deploy all of them with pretty much total impunity before Real Americans will finally bestir themselves to raise up on their hind legs and seek vengeance against their tormentors.
In the wake of each successive outrage, all too many on Our Side are all too fond of pontificating reflexively about how this, that, or the other damned thing merely shows how very much they “fear" us—or Trump, or our guns, or being “voted” out of office, etc etc & etc. And every time, I can only shake my head ruefully and laugh to myself.
Would that it were so. Alas, what it DOES indicate is audacity: an audacity so stupendous, so powerfully and deeply ingrained, that the incomparable Robert E Lee—about whom one of his subordinates, COL Joseph Ives, once said that “his name might be audacity!”—would surely blush to contemplate it. No, if they truly did fear us, as is only right and proper they should, then none of this would be happening.
A fearful adversary, uncertain of his ability to prevail, is tentative, reticent, even outright reluctant to engage his foe. His timidity is written plain to see in his every plan, his every maneuver. The enemy Real Americans now confront evidences not a single trace of those qualities, either in his behavior or his rhetoric. This enemy has to date been given no reason for caution or reticence; his time is spent not thinking about what his opponent might do to him, but of what he might do to his opponent, a mindset Union GEN US Grant once famously urged his own officers to adopt.
Our present-day Enemy’s confidence may yet turn out to be overconfidence, a consummation devoutly to be wished by all freedom-loving people everywhere. But today is not that day. If we indeed stand upon the threshold of the Final Battle in the long struggle against tyranny, as Downey holds, then we’d better all turn our thinking around and get ourselves ready for it, and that right soon —before it’s too late. As a man who knew a thing or two about last desperate stands so pithily put it:
If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without bloodshed; if you will not fight when your victory will be sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may be even a worse fate, you may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves.
S’truth. Gird your loins, people.
