Evil empire
These days, Reagan’s application of the term seems downright quaint.
Inside the Transgender Empire
The transgender movement is pressing its agenda everywhere. Most publicly, activist teachers are using classrooms to propagandize on its behalf and activist health professionals are promoting the mutilation of children under the euphemistic banner of “gender-affirming care.” The sudden and pervasive rise of this movement provokes two questions: where did it come from, and how has it proved so successful? The story goes deeper than most Americans know.In the late 1980s, a group of academics, including Judith Butler, Gayle Rubin, Sandy Stone, and Susan Stryker, established the disciplines of “queer theory” and “transgender studies.” These academics believed gender to be a “social construct” used to oppress racial and sexual minorities, and they denounced the traditional categories of man and woman as a false binary that was conceived to support the system of “heteronormativity”—i.e., the white, male, heterosexual power structure. This system, they argued, had to be ruthlessly deconstructed. And the best way to achieve this, they argued further, was to promote transgenderism. If men can become women, and women men, they believed, the natural structure of Creation could be toppled.
Susan Stryker, a male-to-female transgender professor currently at the University of Arizona, revealed the general thrust and tone of transgender ideology in his Kessler Award Lecture at the City University of New York in 2008, describing his work as “a secular sermon that unabashedly advocates embracing a disruptive and refigurative genderqueer or transgender power as a spiritual resource for social and environmental transformation.” In Stryker’s best-known essay, “My Words to Victor Frankenstein above the Village of Chamounix: Performing Transgender Rage,” he contends that the “transsexual body” is a “technological construction” that represents a war against Western society. “I am a transsexual, and therefore I am a monster,” Stryker writes. And this monster, he continues, is destined to channel its “rage and revenge” against the “naturalized heterosexual order”; against “‘traditional family values’”; and against the “hegemonic oppression” of nature itself.
It is clear from this and from other transgender scholarship that the transgender movement is inherently political. Its reconstruction of personal identity is meant to advance a collective political reconstruction or transformation. Some trans activists even view their movement as the future of Marxism. In a collection of essays titled Transgender Marxism, activist writer Rosa Lee argues that trans people can serve as the new vanguard of the proletariat, promising to abolish heteronormativity in the same way that orthodox Marxism promised to abolish capitalism.
This piece is a fascinating examination of all the nooks, crannies, and darkest corners of the explosively-burgeoning tranny megalith: the history, the financing, the underlying agenda, the unholy alliances—essentially, every aspect of how this psychosexual derangement has infiltrated our entire society seemingly overnight.
The speedy, relentless mainstreaming, both political and cultural, of gender dysphoria offers a textbook lesson in the Left’s strategic and tactical methodology. One needn’t ask how wildly successful this methodology has been for them, in this specific case as well as all too many others. Only a meager handful of us saw it coming all along, warning throughout the gay-marriage campaign what awaited us just ahead.
Unfortunately, we were right. It’s my contention that most of us who spoke out from the beginning against mandatory recognition and approval of “gay marriage” didn’t have any objection to long-term homosexual couples whose relationships were in the main monogamous and stable plighting their troth in a civil ceremony, not at all. Neither were we in any way offended by or hostile to homosexuals themselves.
Personally, I could not possibly care less what kind of erotic outlawry anyone chooses to get up to behind closed doors in the privacy of their own homes. I certainly have no wish to see gays harassed, vilified, or harmed. Long as the kids, household pets, local wildlife, and/or barnyard animals are left out of whatever your preferred kink might be, hey, have at it, everybody. Not my circus, not my monkeys, no skin off my nose. Just keep it indoors and out of the streets so’s you don’t frighten the horses, and we’re good.
Thing is, though, those aforementioned civil marriages had already been legal and available for a long time in most places. Alas, not good enough for the insatiable Left, oh no; in their usual incremental, sneak-thief fashion, Christian churches, pastors, and entire congregations must be made to bend the knee and submit. And even THAT was just the beginning, prelude to the coming onslaught. No matter how far to the Left you allow them to drag the Overton window, it will never, ever be far enough to suit the bastards.
And so, well…here we all are. Not only are we now required not merely to tolerate but to actively, enthusiastically applaud gay marriage alone, but also the “transgender” sickness; the sexualization/recruitment/indoctrination of young children; brazen pedophilic behavior in public (s’cuse me, they're now MAPs, for Minor Attracted Persons, not pedophiles). Is the escalation complete, you ask? Thou fool. Already I’m seeing the first stirrings of an incipient Bestiality Now! movement, incredibly enough.
Doubt me, do ya? Just you wait and see: dog, chicken, goat, and/or squirrel-humping may seem bizarre to us today, a way-out-there perversion engaged in by an infinitesimally tiny number of disgusting, irredeemable sickos. Tomorrow? We’ll all be dancing to a throbbing media drumbeat urging that this sexual enormity is in fact far more widespread than we might realize.
The next step: laughably-inflated statistical percentages will be peddled by the news, entertainment, and educational establishments to back up the claim that inter-species sex, love, and romance is perfectly “normal” and, really, quite common—with non-lunatics looking on in horror and stupefaction as unthinkable wickedness gets downgraded to mere “personal preference,” as grotesque aberration become a minor fetish, then a fad. Y’know, like hula-hoops, deelie-bobbers, or fidget spinners.
And then? Human-goat marriage—legislatively instituted; performed in God's church; universally celebrated by enforced government decree; entirely sacrosanct and unassailable either morally, rhetorically, or politically; the issue placed forever beyond even the possibility of rational debate among honest, well-meaning people. The human/animal-hookup thing is well and truly settled, folks. And we already know how stubborn they can be about issues, arguments, or controversies they’ve unilaterally pronounced “settled.”
Thus does the American politico-cultural ratchet turn yet one more click in the only direction it ever does, has, or probably can at this point: hard Left.
