Does it, or does it not?
Post title refers to the ever-elusive Epstein client list.
Is This What Happened to the Epstein Client List?
Every time the topic of Jeffrey Epstein’s infamous client list surfaces, the American public is treated to a familiar dance: officials dodge, the media obfuscate, and the powerful breathe a sigh of relief. After years of waiting for the Epstein client list to see the light of day, the Trump administration says the list doesn’t exist. On Thursday, Alan Dershowitz came out and said that’s not true and that he saw it when he had to defend himself from false accusations of being an Epstein client. If the list does exist, what happened to it? Rep. Tim Burchett (R-Tenn.) has a theory. In a recent interview with NewsNation, Burchett told host Leland Vittert that he believes that the Biden administration intentionally destroyed the Epstein client files to protect powerful individuals.
“I think the files existed at one time,” Burchett said. “I think they were destroyed in the previous administration… and if they’d ever had anything on Trump, it would have been out day one under the Biden administration.”
When Vittert agreed, Burchett continued, suggesting that the real reason the files remain hidden is because of who they might implicate. “I think there’s some very prominent people. There’s Hollywood people, but I think there’s world leaders too. And would it have caused economic disruption around the globe? Maybe. But I don’t really care.”
Vittert asked if the hesitation to release names might be due to fear of unjustly tarnishing people who may have interacted with Epstein but did nothing wrong. Burchett rejected the idea and instead pointed to Ghislaine Maxwell’s conviction: “What’s Ms. Maxwell doing in jail? What did she do? Where is that… you know, who did she provide whatever she did? Why is she in jail? That’s gotta be a question that should be asked at some point.”
Among the many miscarriages of justice associated with l’affaire Epstein, that might be the most egregious: that Maxwell rots in a prison cell, while powerful Swamp critters who availed themselves of the services at Pedo Island remain, as a certain proudly treasonous, violence-prone hard-Leftist loves to boast, “guilty as hell, free as a bird."
Be that as it may, Bondi’s “now you see ‘em, now you don’t” sleight of hand act with Epstein’s famed “naughty” list is taxing her credibility sorely, as well as that of the Trump admin more broadly. Dan Bongino, one of the hardest of the hardcore Trump loyalists, appears to have had just about enough.
Is Dan Bongino Quitting Over the Epstein Client List Debacle?
What happens when even Donald Trump’s most loyal allies start questioning the administration’s handling of one of the most explosive cases in modern history? We’re about to find out, and it’s not pretty.FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino reportedly had a heated confrontation with Attorney General Pam Bondi over the Jeffrey Epstein files, and the fallout has been swift and telling. According to sources, Bongino was so frustrated with Bondi’s lack of transparency that he took the day off work on Friday, leading some to speculate that he might have quit altogether.
"He ain't coming back," a source close to Bongino told Axios.
According to the story, both Bongino and FBI Director Kash Patel are “furious” with Bondi over the blowback her handling of the Epstein files has caused them. And who can blame them?
Not me, I must say. George Carlin said it, and said it better’n anybody ever has either before or since.
